In early July 2025, disastrous, never-before-seen flooding struck communities in the Hill Country of Central Texas, devastating families and communities for miles around in multiple counties. In the intervening weeks and months, immediate relief efforts have taken place, and EM has sought out local ministry partners coordinating volunteers for the long rebuilding and recovery efforts to follow.
We are now ready to find out how many groups are interested in partnering with EM on Central Texas flood relief mission trips in 2026!
If a week-long mission trip to serve in this region is a possibility for your group, submit an interest form below for Spring or Summer 2026 dates (or potential limited availability dates in late Fall 2025) to learn more and get updates as details come together!
Each morning during EM mission trips, there is time set aside for devotions and quiet time. This is a valuable time and we strongly encourage all team members to spend it with God, journaling their thoughts and experiences as the days unfold. EM will provide a physical or printable devotional journal.
Our staff will lead a time of debriefing and a short devotional in the evening (what we call "Team Gathering") and it is always a great addition to have musical worship. Our programming does not include musical worship as we can't guarantee that our staff will have this ability. Please let us know if you have anyone who sings or plays guitar on your trip so that we can help to coordinate the musical aspect of worship when able. If teams aren't able to help in the area of music, it may not be a part of the trip.

What will volunteers do on a mission trip to Central Texas for Flood Relief?
There will be a variety of skilled and non-skilled projects related to rebuilding. Your team may participate in anything from cleaning up debris to rebuilding whole houses from the bottom up. We ask that your team come ready to serve and jump in with whatever the present need is. Teams may be limited to the scope of the projects available based on whether or not team members come with specific skills.
Is it required to have construction skills to come help serve?
While not mandatory, having at least a few team members with construction skills is strongly recommended. Here's why:
Do we need to bring our own tools?
We provide all the necessary tools and equipment for projects. However, if team members have their own tools they're comfortable using, they're welcome to bring them. Please label personal tools clearly.
Will we work with children on Hurricane Relief mission trips?
At this time, we will not be doing children's ministry in Flood Relief zones.
What can I expect for my group as far as spiritual growth?
Morning Quiet Time: Each morning, there is time set aside for devotions and quiet time. While we make the space for this time, it is up to the leaders to implement it with their groups. This is a valuable time and we strongly encourage all team members to spend it with God, journaling their thoughts and experiences as the days unfold. All team members will be provided a physical or printable devotional journal.
Team Gathering: Our staff will lead a time of debriefing and a short devotional in the morning or evening. It is a simple time of debriefing and listening to a short devotional reflection from EM, with follow-up discussion as time warrants.
Worship: Our programming does not include musical worship as we can't guarantee that our field staff will have this ability. We love this element and hope that your team will bring this skill and share it with all of the groups!
