Bahamas Hurricane Relief – Update from Kacy Cooper

Blog Home
by Experience Mission

Kacy Cooper was born and raised in the Bahamas. He moved to the U.S., but most of his family lives in East End, Grand Bahama Island so his ties are deep. Kacy's family in the Bahamas are part of Saint Cleveland Baptist Church and are networked with several other churches in the East End area who are responding to the basic needs in their devastated community.

The community of East End, along with so many other areas, lost everything. Many people only have the clothes on their backs. Water flooded homes to the ceiling when the Hurricane stalled out over Grand Bahama Island. Kacy traveled to Grand Bahama Island last week to bring food, water, tents, and a generator to the community of East End so that they have the means to feed people.

As the initial shock wears down, EM looks forward to partnering with the Cooper family and Saint Cleveland Baptist Church to help rebuild and restore homes and communities in the Bahamas.
