Bahamas Hurricane Relief
Help provide food, water, and shelter!

Our hearts go out to everyone in the Bahamas after Hurricane Dorian ravaged their small islands this last week. While it’s still way too early to know if EM relief mission trip volunteers will be able to help with the clean-up and rebuilding work that will most definitely need to be done, we’re doing what we can to make an impact now in the lives of those affected.

A member of the EM staff is connected through friends to a group of churches located in the East End of Freeport on Grand Bahama Island. It's a tight-knit community that is often overlooked because it is not as close to the larger towns and tourist areas, and we would love to be able to help them in this time of incredible need. All donations made on this page will go directly toward this faith community’s efforts to be the hands and feet of Jesus to their neighbors in various ways.

The church in Freeport's immediate goal is to provide water, food, and tents, for basic shelter where homes have been demolished. After this, the church hopes to purchase and run generators so their church buildings can become hubs for meals for the community and neighbors in need. Once basic survival needs are taken care of, they hope to help their neighbors rebuild and recover. While nothing is certain as of yet, it’s our hope to be able to come alongside the people of the Bahamas with that need as well.
