Summer Missions Update!
Hey Friends and Family! Two weeks down, one week for preparation of this summer and one week with missions teams. It has been a great time so far.
The first week we got to visit some work sites and prepare the church to receive our missions teams for this summer. I was absolutely blown away by the scenery in New Mexico and Arizona. I can't count the number of times I've said, "You just don't see this in Ohio!" I got to check driving on a dirt road off of my bucket list and seeing the Monument Valley park in Utah. I did get a cold that I've been battling off and on so please pray for my health!
This week, Tse ee gai House of Joy Church on Black Mesa in Tonalea, AZ (the church I am staying at this summer), has been hosting a Tent Revival all week long! Some of the service is in Navajo and some in English. I had the privilege of trying frye bread (to die for!), mutton, and sheep liver & intestines this week. I've enjoyed all of the local dishes I have tried. I've slowly gotten used to the outdoor showers, outhouses, and lack of running water -- I'm definitely gaining muscle this summer from hauling 5 gallon water buckets back and forth! The missions teams this week were amazing, all of them returners who encouraged my team and I with kind words, snacks, hugs, and life advice. Overall, It's been an amazing two weeks out on the reservation. I am captured by God's heart in this place, in these people, in the missions teams serving, in my own teams sacrificial love for each other, and in my heart. Be praying for the Dine (Navajo) people, the coming missions teams, my team, and for God to empower me to be a living sacrifice holy and acceptable to Him this summer and for life.

Hey everyone! Sophomore year has come to a close and I've just moved all of my stuff out of my dorm room. I leave for Summer Staff training on May 20th and leave for the Navajo Nation on May 24th. So that means I only have 10 days until I leave for the summer! I feel like everything is flying by so quickly, I've been hopping from one thing to the next or as the cool kids say "All gas no breaks". I've packed for the summer but there is still a few things that I have to get in order before I leave. Such as doing my online trainings and returning an air mattress I didn't need! I'm still quite nervous for the plane ride so please keep praying for me! Also keep praying for the preparation of my team and the people I'll be serving! I'm so excited!! Also Thank you to everyone who has helped my trip financially! I truly appreciate both the prayers and financial support.

I'M GOING TO THE NAVAJO NATION!
Recently, I got the information that I am going to the Navajo Nation. The Navajo Nation is a Native American Reservation that "extends into the states of Utah , Arizona and New Mexico , covering over 27,000 square miles of unparalleled beauty. Diné Bikéyah, or Navajoland, is larger than 10 of the 50 states in America." (From Navajo Nation official government website). I will be in the state of Arizona but I do not know the exact location of where I am staying!

I also just booked my flights to training and to Albuquerque. I am a nervous flyer so please pray for anxiety to cease and for safe travels! I am in the process of trying to book my First Aid & CPR classes before my trip so I'm well informed about emergencies. As the semester of college wraps up, I'm getting more and more excited about this summer's plans! I'm also nervous to be away from my boyfriend, friends, and family for two months though. So pray for that too lol! Overall though, I'm VERY EXCITED for what's coming up!!! YAYYYYYY JESUS!!!!

Hello Everyone! I'm so glad you are here! I have started preparing for my Summer Missions Internship by writing my support letter (let me know if you would like to receive one), filling out my information on the website, completing a background check, and researching First-Aid certification places around me. I even started hunting on Amazon for some on-site essentials (an air mattress, bug repellent, and mineral sunscreen) but have not solidified any purchases yet! I've been so giddy about finding out where I am going to be placed this summer! I emailed a contact at EM and they said we will find out Mid-March! Until then, I appreciate your support and prayers as I start this exciting journey!
