Most of you who know me know that I have a passion for Africa. After high school, I thought I needed to go to school and do what everyone else was doing but I felt an itch to do more. I knew I wasn’t ready to go to school, but I was still trying to figure out what. That’s when I found Experience Mission and really prayed about joining their IMMERSION program on a Gap Year trip. This would allow me time to think and pray about the direction God wanted for my life.

In September of 2017, I stepped off the plane in Africa and was transfixed. From there, I embarked on a nine-month-long journey through South Africa, Lesotho, and Namibia. I was able to see God work in amazing ways and also my own life was transformed. I found a deep love for people and for places I didn’t even know existed before.

After much prayer and leaning into waiting on what God has for me, I have now decided to take another year to be an intern for Experience Mission Africa. While in Africa, I will be able to continue my passion of working with people and communities, but also to gain some skill and knowledge on the admin work that it takes to run a ministry. I will work alongside team leaders to work in communities as well as alongside the staff at EM Africa to continue to build God’s Kingdom in southern Africa.

However, I can’t make this dream a reality without your help and that is where YOU come in. Will you consider making a monthly commitment or one-time donation to support my mission work in Africa? I need to raise $850/month while living in South Africa, and I am hoping to also raise $4500 as a “Launching Fund” to cover all the necessary travel and relocation expenses involved in moving across the world. It’s a big task and I need your help!
