Hi, y'all! My name is Kaitlyn Rogers! I am a senior in the class of '24, and I am beyond thrilled to have the opportunity to take a gap year to do missions work through this immersion program! I go (/went depending on when you read this) to Greenbrier High School in Evans, GA. I lead worship at my church, Stevens Creek in Augusta, and I have played volleyball all my life. My family is a crazy bunch. I am the oldest of five children, but we also have two dogs. My parents, family, and friends are all very supportive, and encouraging me to follow where Jesus' love takes me.

A little about my story: I am about to graduate high school, and my plan has always been to go straight into college. At the beginning of the year, after I returned home from Passion 2024, I felt that the Lord was festering up something new in me and for my future. I deeply felt that I was being led to missions, and wanted to explore that.

I want to immerse myself in a new culture and love people in a new country. There were many things to navigate, deciding how to go in the direction I felt led to because I was not 100% sure what the path even looked like. All I know is that I needed and wanted to say yes to God.

My dad ended up showing me this organization and I immediately fell in love with the message that it projects. Loving people and cultivating authentic relationships. I think a lot of how Jesus wanted to be discovered was through his love more than his works, and often in the modern world, we can miss that.

So here I am after a lot of prayer and thinking, I decided that I am saying yes to God. I am very excited to experience this upcoming part of my journey in life.
