Hello friends and family,

As you now know from seeing this fundraising page, I am about to embark on the trip of a lifetime sharing God's love with people in Costa Rica. I am excited and nervous but ultimately overjoyed that God has placed a desire to serve my brothers and sisters in Christ over in Costa Rica. If someone had told me 4 years ago when I entered college at Montana State University that upon graduating I would be following the Lord on a three month mission trip to Costa Rica, I would not have believed them. Yet now 4 years later, God has nurtured a heart in me for Latin American people groups and a desire to bring them His love and truth. I want to use my life to serve the Lord as well as use my passion for Spanish that He has given me. Graciously the Lord has provided me with an opportunity to go to Costa Rica from August to November and a team to live out His call on my life.

In my time in Costa Rica, my team and I will be starting out the journey by attending an intensive language program in San Jose, Costa Rica. After this course, we will move to a rural town, Shiroles. In Shiroles we will be working in a local church and school, connecting with the community and helping them in their daily needs. We will also be living with host families, getting a true look into what life is like in a rural town in Costa Rica. Through our work in the school and church, living with the host families, and interacting in the community, it is our hope and prayer that God will use us to positively impact the Costa Rican’s lives for His glory.

Now is the part when you all come in. In order for me to follow God on this journey, I am asking for prayer for the mission as well as for you to prayerfully consider monetarily supporting my trip. Please be praying for me that the Lord will work through me and in me throughout this trip to bring the local people closer to Him as well as deepen my love and trust in Him. Only by His supreme will, will we see other’s come to know Him and the community begin to change, and I ask that you pray that it is His will for us to make a difference. I also request that you pray about donating towards my mission as without raising $6500, I will not be able to go on the mission. The Lord commanded in Matthew 28:19 that we “go and make disciples of all nations,” and I desire to fulfill His command. Therefore, I am deeply grateful for any contribution you can make whether it be monetary or prayer.
