My Story
A little bit about me, I am a junior at Penn State Harrisburg majoring in Elementary Education. I love all things outdoors, such as hiking, kayaking, going on walks, laying out in the sun, and campfires! I enjoy listening to music, cuddling cats, and journaling.
I recently attended a missions conference called Urbana and I fell in love with learning about the global church and how God is at work in the lives of people all around the world. It is at Urbana where I learned my teaching degree could be used all around the world. I felt called to go on a one-month mission trip to Africa this summer to serve overseas. That is when I discovered Experience Mission and the IMMERSION program!
I have such a passion for teaching and serving. I never dreamed of going to Africa and serving in a cross-cultural setting, but I am so excited to step out of my comfort zone and grow relationships and learn from community members in Namibia.
