My Story
Thank you for visiting my fundraising profile.
Shortly after my graduation, I moved back to Montana, where I have been living and working as an admission counselor at my Alma Mater, Carroll College. I have enjoyed recruiting students and look forward to receiving them on campus this fall. It has been a good chapter, and I am now excited to uncover a new purpose and discover a deeper version of myself.
Since I was little, it has been a dream of mine to one day embark on a mission trip. What better time to do that than before graduate school! After dedicated research and careful consideration, I found "Experience Mission," which is an organization for young adults who want to travel and serve in cross-cultural settings. The program welcomes an open-minded perspective; promotes the desire to learn from and alongside different cultures; encourages individual growth; and prioritizes love, equality and service work in everything it does. This is exactly the kind of program I was looking for–therefore, I applied to their six-month Immersion Trip to Latin America, and to my excitement was accepted!
I am now preparing to venture on a life-changing service trip, where I will be spending two months each in the countries of Costa Rica, Cuba and Peru. During that time, I will experience the privilege of living in harmony with various communities, where I hope to build meaningful relationships and support the local people in fulfilling their vision for their community. I am driven by a desire to lend a helping hand, and to be a positive resource to those I serve. In addition to enhancing my Spanish literacy, some of my daily tasks may include working on local plantain farms, cooking and preparing meals for the community, assisting children in schools, digging septic tanks for homes, assembling fences, and painting buildings. Every task will present an opportunity to connect, learn, and contribute to something greater than myself.
This trip would not be possible without the external love and support of others. A strong network encouraging me with prayers and donations will help turn this dream into a reality; I can't do it without you. In any way that you are able, I invite you to accompany me on this incredible journey!

EXPERIENCE MISSION exists to bring the hope of Jesus through relief and development projects around the world, developing leaders through internships and volunteer mission trip opportunities, and empowering people in underprivileged communities through initiatives like education scholarships and micro-loans.
