After several answered prayers I am thrilled to announce I will be joining the Experience Mission team on a 6-month IMMERSION mission trip starting January of 2023. I will be staying with native host families while helping the people of Belize, Cuba, and Puerto Rico. I will experience first hand both the joys, and challenges the native people face everyday as I engage in outreach ministries partnering with local churches in the area.

A major fear I've had throughout my life was the possibility I wasn't living up to the purpose God created me for. This grew immensely this year as I began taking steps to make my life my own. Although my lifestyle is viewed as “successful” to my friends, family, and the American culture, I still felt that something was missing. I didn't feel a burning in my heart for my future plans anymore. I felt that I was just going through the motions of life and that there has to be more to my faith than what I'm doing now. The more I prayed about this, the more God revealed to me that there is more he made me for. Every day, I grow more in realizing there is a much higher purpose in life than living for myself and my comfort. He placed it on my heart to take a break from my plans about myself and pour into others of need by serving communities throughout the world.

The program I have selected is designed for young adults to unselfishly give of their time and talents to help improve communities and build authentic relationships. My time spent immersed in the different cultures will be filled with volunteering in schools, construction, agriculture, teaching English, and most importantly, sharing the love of Jesus Christ to make his glory known.

This mission trip will stretch me physically, mentally, and spiritually, as I fully experience native environments. Although it is very exciting, it is also very scary. Throughout these next months as I prepare to leave, I ask for prayers, support, and encouragement. After returning back to America in July, I will attend the University of Wyoming in the fall to finish my education.

However, this life changing experience won't be possible without donations. I praise and thank The Lord for the amazing plans He has for me. I want to encourage everyone to pursue the calling on their life, no matter how scary it might be. God can do impossible things; all he needs is your crazy faith.
