Hi everyone!
As I prepare for this next stage in my life, I could not be more in awe of our God. If someone would've told me 6 months ago that I would be taking a gap year instead of going to college after high school, I probably would've laughed and said you were thinking of someone else. For as long as I can remember, I have planned on going to Texas A&M after graduation, and although the thought of a gap year was brought up a few times, ultimately it terrified me, so I shoved it off each time. However, the Lord moved wonders in my life this past summer. Although I thought I had been listening to His calling, He revealed my doubts and fears. I wanted to do life my way - the comfortable way. Yet comfort is not the life we, as Christians, are called to. On a recent mission trip to England, He revealed my love for His children overseas. Going home to live the life I had planned for myself suddenly seemed selfish and prideful; what right do I have to live for myself when my God died to save me and actively invites me to share his sacrificial love with his children? I am so thankful for His persistent love and guidance, because He has presented me with the opportunity to share His love with His people in Costa Rica and Africa.
