My Story
I chose Namibia simply because I'd never heard of the country before. Did you know it's home to the oldest desert in the world, the Namib desert? The country is also one of few where the ocean meets the desert. Namibia has a population of only 2.7 million, and about 80% of the people are Christians.
I've wanted to go on a missions trip since I was 13 years old and even had plans to go to Guatemala. Unfortunately, those plans were canceled. But I continued saving! I had over $2,000 when God prompted me to use the money for a different cause. I didn't understand because why wouldn't the Lord want me to go on a missions trip? Through that, I learned that God is more interested in our obedience than our plans but he is such a good God that he still desires to give us those things! So I'm super grateful and excited about this opportunity. God is so good. His plans for us are far more than we can think or imagine!
The cost is not an obstacle for God; rather, it's a way for Him to be given the glory. I see it as an investment I get to make and an opportunity I get to extend to you! Thank you for taking the time to read my story and be a part of the bigger story we are all in- God's story.
