My Story
Well hello, thank you for visiting my page! I want to start this off by reminding you that Jesus loves you so very much and you are a masterpiece that is made in the image of God! God has changed my life incredibly this past year and I cannot thank Him enough. With that being said, I want to thank God through my actions in my everyday life and forget about all of my humanly desires that I once longed for. I now dream to set my entire life aside and let God truly use me in whatever mighty direction He has already set forth for me. God has proven Himself in my life over and over again, and I do not want to miss out on another opportunity to grow His Kingdom! A song that has really been hitting me hard lately is Make Room. “I will make room for You, to do whatever You want to.” I want to make room for God entirely. I believe this trip is where God is telling to take my next step.
God has blessed me with an acceptance into this Experience Mission Immersion Gap Year Program. Myself and a group of 5-15 individuals will be shining the light of Jesus in communities in South Africa for 3 months, Belize for 2 months, Cuba for 2 months, and Costa Rica for 2 months. We are all blessed with the opportunity to see the world the way God sees it, and experience being His hands and feet in a very unique way. I can't wait to see how much I grow in my relationship with Jesus throughout all of this. Going into unfamiliar territory, there are some things that are going to be very uncomfortable for me… but that excites me! I love to think about how intentional my relationship with God is going to be. I won't be able to rely on all of the things that I take for granted here in America. I can't wait to love on the people in these communities and get to know people in a totally different part of the world!
I've been outrageously blessed with growing up in the community of Gibson County, Indiana. My family, church family, and friends are something I hold very dear to my heart and will forever cherish. One of the questions in the interview process was along the lines of, “Do you feel confident in your support group while going on this trip?” That's one of the biggest no brainers I've ever came across! I couldn't ask for better people in my life. I'm waiting for some of you to tell me that you're angels haha. I can see and feel Jesus' love in countless people in my life. I actually started a gratitude list about a month ago of just people's names in my life and let me tell ya, that list is huge and it keeps growing. Tears are definitely shed when I truly get into thinking about the relationships I have with you all. I want to take that love that Jesus gave us, and go spread it everywhere I possibly can in my time here on Earth.
