Hey Everyone, thank you for visiting my profile. I am so excited to be just months away from embarking on my first missions' trip to Namibia! I am 19 and I love the outdoors, adventure, and spending time with my family and friends. I currently work at a Christian daycare and I really love it! I also keep busy volunteering at a junior youth group, doing weekly respite care and the last few summers I've really enjoyed working at a bible camp. I am passionate about caring, hosting and loving those around me. We see so clearly in the gospels and all throughout Gods word how important it is to care, serve and genuinely love Gods people. I especially have a heart for those who may more easily slip through the cracks. Whether this be the homeless, the disabled, people who may feel uncomfortable or out of place and children.

I want to go on this trip because this is what I believe I'm being called to do. I want to step out in obedience and faith to serve both God and people (Matthew 22:37-39). I want to be selfless and be the hands and feet of Jesus. I am also so excited to grow in my faith and learn from the local people about their culture and about their hearts of gratitude, joy and generosity, which I know is so different than the more materialistic and self-centred culture that I have come from. Another reason I choose this trip is because it will be very child and baby focused, which fits in so well with my passion for serving and loving little ones.

If you'd like there are a few ways you can be praying for me. One is for peace amid so many new experiences like navigating a new culture, climate, flying for my first time alone, and having the courage to speak and serve in boldness and love. You can also be praying for the hearts of the people I will be serving, that Jesus would meet each of them right where they are at. I overall want to bring glory to God in all I do on this trip!
