Hi, friends! I've always been the type of person who thinks I'm surrendering to the Lord, but there's specific areas that I hold onto too tightly, not giving Him my complete trust - my future being a big part of that.

Although I've been on a handful of short-term missions, I've always been the person to think "long-term missions is so cool, but that'll never be me." The Lord has very much shown me otherwise and is teaching me that it's His Will over mine.

I've found comfort being back in the suburbs of Chicago this last year, with my closest people nearby. But I'm being taught that HE is where my greatest comfort should settle, and sometimes that means the Lord has to disrupt our schedules and surroundings to truly rely on Him - leading me to go to Costa Rica for a 3 month IMMERSION trip!

I'm extremely grateful for this opportunity. To walk in His Will and His Way, to walk in the path that He's calling me to, to walk in the discomfort, and to serve His people in such a unique and beautiful way. What a gift! What a God!
