Hi, Im Conner, a sophomore chemistry major at the University of Arkansas here in Fayetteville, AR. Serving is something the Lord has called me to do. I say this with confidence because I wouldn't be this far in if it wasn't a "God thing." On Tuesday, 2/19, my devotional was over James 2:17 "In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead." I though "okay, this is excellent food for thought," and I prayed the strongest prayer I know- "Speak Lord for Your Servant is Listening," and left it at that. The next day, on Wednesday, my devotion was over Philippians 4:19 "And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his Glory in Christ Jesus." This is when I knew I had to do something. It wasn't until I was checking my email and saw an email from experience mission- "Is experience mission right for you?" I read the email and I felt a sense of conviction that I've never felt before- I knew it was for me, and I had to do my part. So I did- I applied for the trip to serve and then I gave it back to the Lord. I said "Im giving this back to you Lord, do with it what you please- if this your will, let it be done." Later that day I got a text from Madison wanting to schedule a series of interviews and God took it from there.
