Hey, I want to give you an update on my plans for this summer. I have always wanted to do some sort of mission trip. With some new farming opportunities coming up, I realized this summer may be the last one for awhile where I am not tied down with the farm. Experience Missions was one of the first missions I found when I researched short-term mission trips, and I have been very impressed so far from the reviews, and the people I have been in contact with. They had several different trip opportunities but the South Texas trip really interested me. I've always wondered what life is actually like at the border. So on July 10th I fly to Seattle, WA for 4 days of training. I will be with a team of 5-6 people from all over the US. We then fly to McAllen, TX where we will spend the next month helping local missions. We will be helping the missions with feeding migrant workers and immigrants, and just taking time to talk with them and pray for them. We will also go on a week long border trip where we will travel along the border as well as cross into Mexico. I am definitely going to be pushed out of my comfort zone as I don't know a single person at this mission or on the trip. I am looking forward meeting people outside of my community. Financial donations would be appreciated but more than anything I would appreciate your prayers. A few prayer requests would be wisdom and courage as I serve the people at the border. Pray that I could show them God's love, as well as give 100% of my energy and focus to the work God has for me in the month I am there. Thanks everyone!! Your support means the world to me!
