My Story
Since I'm graduating college in December, I decided to use my 'empty' spring semester before teaching doing something that would not only help lead others to Christ, but would push me out of my comfort zone to help me grow closer to Him!
I'll be in South Africa primarily running VBS, helping at a local school, teaching basic healthcare, and helping provide clean water and safer living. We'll be working in Centurion and Frankfurt-- one's a city and the other is a small village. We'll be working closely with a local church and staying with host families from the church.
One thing I want to make clear is that, yes, this is a mission trip and my goal is to spread the love of Jesus-- BUT, I don't want to change who they are. My goal is to live life with them, they way they do. The goal is not to go in and change their way of living because I think mine is better-- I think that's a big problem many missionaries face.
I'm so grateful that God has opened this door for me and given me such an incredible purpose for this time in my life. While I obviously need your help financially, I'm far more concerned with asking for your prayers! If you can't donate (and even if you can), pray for me, my team, and everyone that we'll be meeting in South Africa!
