Hi! Thanks for taking the time to visit my fundraising profile for my upcoming gap year. As I walked through the last year of life, I realized these past few months that I need to take a break from school, consider a few different things from my life, and make a decision of what is to come for the next year.

As I did some research into some possibilities, I came across a gap year program called Experience Mission (EM) a non-profit organization that offers a nine month mission trip experience. I dove deeper into each of the mission trips that EM was doing this year, and I came across a Costa Rica/South Africa experience. As I read about this trip, I felt my heart tugging at me to fill out an interest form. One thing led to another, and I found myself setting up interest calls and interviews. I had a lot of questions, and after I got them all answered, I felt even more sure that this is what God may have for me this year.

As I've prayed about this trip, there's been a verse that's stuck out the most to me: Matthew 28:19 “Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.” Yes, this experience sounds like a lot of fun, but also a lot of hard work – not just physically, but also spiritually. Honestly, I never thought I would be going on a nine month mission trip, but I really believe God has called me to go serve these communities with love and kindness.

In order for this experience to happen, I know I need support from my closest friends and family – that's YOU! Would you please join me and my family in praying over this next year and my experience abroad?
Three things on my heart:

Humbleness and patience to develop in me as I experience a totally different culture, language, and people.

For God to give me direction over my immediate future, but also long term.

For strength and growth in my life over the next year.
