It's time to get up close and personal. Hello, my name is Janina and I'm excited to share a little bit about myself.

First of all, I am an avid baker and cook, in fact I'd say it's my love language. I love to make people happy through the desserts and food I make. Additionally, I love community, especially spending time with friends and family. I also love sports because of the ways it challenges me and the community it creates. Last but not least, I love worship, whether be at Church, with friends, or alone in the car as I sing my lungs out despite my inability to carry a tune.

My time in school was when I first met God. Although my relationship with Him was shallow at that time, that was when I met people whom I would eventually come to love and who would reintroduce me to Him. After graduation, I drifted far from God. There was no Church, no time in His Word, and prayer was inconsistent. In other words, I was lukewarm and lost. I was at my lowest in August 2021. My plan was to take a gap year and eventually go back to school, but a year became two and eventually stretched out to four. I was without direction - partying, drinking on occasion and enjoying life only to come out feeling empty at the end.

By the grace of God, He called me back to Him in December 2021. God used an old friend to slowly change and redirect me to the path He has set out for me. I went to church for the first time in a long time and began to spend time with people who helped me grow as a person, encouraged me to mature spirituality, and strengthened my faith. I found so much joy and contentment that I decided to publicly proclaim my faith on April 10, 2022 through baptism. That experience has been one of the most amazing days in my life. Of course not everything is smooth sailing but I wake up each day choosing to follow Him. Looking back, I never thought I would be where I am now but God does amazing things, He is so good.

My decision to join Experience Mission's Immersion is an incredible opportunity to serve Him, learn from and love people. I ask for your financial, spiritual, and emotional encouragement.
