My Story
I've always been obsessed with adventure and change. I can remember back to when I was little and I would fight dragons, in China, with my brother. I never lost that itch for adventure, but I've craved it more and more as I've grown older. My favorite things are to meet new people, travel to new places, and try new things. I am very blessed to have been called by God and given this opportunity to travel around the world and go on an adventure to spread his good news.
The past decade has been incredible to say the least, especially these last few years of high school. I've grown more than I ever thought I could in all walks of life and my passion for Jesus is constantly growing. I grew up in the church with my dad usually being the worship leader and/or pastor at the churches I've attended. I can't remember a period of time where I didn't get up early to go to church. Sometimes even driving two hours to get to church. The church and the role God has played in my life has been the most important thing to me growing up. But through all of that, I have still fallen short of the law, every time I try to stand on my own I fall. I've had to find my own faith and learn that God will help me up no matter what.
At the start of 2017 I had no idea what was in store the next few years. My family decided to move to San Diego because we were sick of the long winters up in Spokane, Washington. We didn't know how it was going to happen, but we set a goal and stuck to it. My dad interviewed for a few churches and in June we were ready to move. That was the start of an incredible adventure with my family. We put our trust in God and he provided. Since moving to San Diego, I have been given the privilege of being able to lead my youth group in worship every week. God challenges me every week as I lead.
Back in November of 2019 I had my first real taste of adventure and life outside the US when I went on my first mission trip to Uganda. After arriving, I experienced God in an overwhelming way. From the landscape and climate to the people and their stories, and even the history of the country and the things in it. The people of that country taught me so much about life, and showed me just how big God really is. When we left, I remember saying that we weren't there long enough. I am more than excited to see what God has planned throughout this year and this trip! Thank you to all who can support me, by prayer or even financially.
