Hello Friends and Family!
As some of you may know the most amazing opportunity has been placed on my path, I have been accepted to a missions group called Experience Mission! I will be serving along-side a group of christian's from all different backgrounds through a program called Immersion. This means I will be embarking on a journey to serve & love on humans for 3 MONTHS IN SOUTH AFRICA - in August of 2023! Not only is this a great opportunity to grow my faith and relationship with God but to also serve Jesus and live out Gods words by loving other humans!! This journey will take my team and I through 3 different unique parts of South Africa - the impoverished townships surrounding Pretoria and Johannesburg, the outskirts of the city where life feels Westernized and familiar, and small farming communities where resources are precious. While serving in South Africa I will have the opportunity to live life right alongside local families - YES this means I will be living with different host families in each communities. This is so near and dear to my heart as I will be able to experience day to day life that will not only bring me outside of my comfort zone but also be able to share Jesus in so many specials ways in the homes of the locals! We will also serve alongside local partners who have a vision to reach people in their communities. Wether I am volunteering in classrooms, visiting with residents in the communities, sorting donations or delivering meals, even leading VBS style programs after school… I will have the chance to give but also receive. I will witness both blessings and brokenness. I have prayed and thought long about this trip since May, and each worry that comes up, God replaces it with an even bigger blessing. I truly believe every part of my life - the good and the bad were put directly on my path to help lead me to this moment where in a few months I will be leaving for a trip that will hopefully not only transform my life but the lives of the people I will touch on the grounds of South Africa. With my future desire to Teach, I am definitely excited to spend time & LOVE on the children of South Africa! I cannot wait to be taken out of my comfort zone & leave behind the familiarity of everyday life to serve but also love extra hard on these humans!

So with any great adventure comes support! I am calling on my friends & family to support me in anyway possible! First & foremost I am in need of prayers - prayers leading up to my trip but also prayers throughout my trip. While I am the one physically serving in South Africa, support from back home is almost equally as important. This would not be possible without an awesome support system. Aside from prayers - the next most important way to support me is to financially support me! I understand some are unable to give financial support but for those that feel led to donate - please know that every dollar counts and will help meet 100% fundraised by July 22nd 2023 as I depart for this journey on August 22nd.
