It was a wild year, ladies and gentlemen, but it was quite the experience. Much more than I could’ve imagined, but worth every minute.

As my teammate Mary Claude and I spent hours trying to find the right words to say, trying to find the encouragement to give, searching for a way to remind our friend of God’s faithfulness and goodness, we found it to be an almost impossible task...

And where we we? Not stuck in traffic, or walking to class, or eating breakfast at the kitchen table, but riding down a dirt road in a truck bed to a music competition in a small village in the middle of the jungle in Southern Costa Rica.

For as far back as I can remember, I have been planning the next step of my life. In my eyes, the plan was so perfect. I had it all planned out to the last detail. Then God simply reminded me that I am not in charge of my life.

At times, I’ve had so many other comforts that make it feel like I never left the States. But with that, the challenges I’ve faced are so different than I expected.

We all jumped into the trip with a blind YES, trusting that God would make good on his plans for us...and guess what? He did.

I want you all to know something: I really do not want this adventure to end.

What we did on IMMERSION will not be forgotten; the people we met, the relationships we formed are real. We were a tiny part of such a bigger thing that is happening in these communities.
