Hello there,

My name is Anastasia and I am beyond words on what God has been doing in my life from the day I said YES to Him.

As some of you may know, last year was a rough one for me. Battling addiction,
alcoholism, and depression for many years prior, last year my unmanageability got the best of me. I was losing everything around me without a care in the world because I was blind in my disease. Not to mention, how far gone I had lost myself.

Early morning of June 12, 2017 I gave up. I gave up on my family, I gave up on my friends, I gave up on myself, and I gave up on Life.

In a split second of my suicide attempt, a Power that I had never felt before, reached out to me and guided me to seek help right away. With a moment of clarity from my Higher Power, which I call GOD today, I was guided to a hospital where I surrendered. I then was sent to a rehab where my life took a complete turn in wanting to seek God.

June 13, 2017 is my sobriety date.

From there on out, I was reborn. I became a part of a program that is now my family. They taught me how to love myself again and how to self care. They teach me how to live life sober and in Gods will. Today, I am able to forgive my past and not look too far into the future. I take each day as it is and make the best out of it. Living in the moment and being present is such a humbling change. I feel a peace and serenity that I have never dreamed off. Throughout my journey for the past 8 months, I am able to help others in this disease through my own experience, strength, and hope. To realize that I am a child of God and to be able to carry His blessings to others is a service that I will never want to give away. I am beyond grateful for all that I have received and continue to with God in my life. I have faith that I am exactly where I need to be today in Gods will for me.

This brings me to my next chapter in my life that God has provided me with. For the past couple of months, I have been blocked from promotions, relationships, and other opportunities that I thought was my calling. I became resentful on not knowing what and where I was supposed to do and be. What is my purpose in life. Boy was I wrong. My sponsor constantly reminded me that God is doing for me what I cannot do for myself. With prayer for guidance, a little bit of patience, and faith in my God, I received the most incredible opportunity to serve in South Africa. To be of service in a world that doesn't have much. To provide hope and faith into a place of fear. To become a part of another huge family with my team and many more that I will meet in my journey.

Again, I will always choose to follow Gods path for me and I am beyond grateful for the opportunities that are in my journey of recovery. My purpose has arrived and the adventures begin.
