Growing up I used to always tell my friends and family “I think it would be so cool to go to Africa one day and learn about the culture there and help the schools and kids who don't know and have as much as we do here.” At the time I had no idea this was going to end up coming to life on a mission trip. At that time in my life I barley knew the lord and couldn't begin to explain what a mission trip even was.

As time passed and I chose surrender myself to the Lord and grow hungry to know more about Him and his love for me, the more he showed me who I was! I began to realize I have a heart for helping others and serving with others. In the season the Lord currently has me in I've realized all the wonderful blessings he's given me, even when I didn't ask for them. He does this because he knows my hearts desires and he wants to fulfill them all in His perfect timing. His perfect timing has led to this mission trip to South Africa to walk in Faith and trust that this is why my heart has always wanted to go to Africa. To humble myself before the kids, teachers, families and community there to help, serve, and teach wherever I am needed. My testimony isn't finished, it's barley even begun, but I am excited to share this new journey I can't wait to take!
