I believe that the message of the gospel is simple. Love God and love others. No one is discriminated or separated from this love. I also believe the Bible is not just something to be reflected on. It is a call to action. Jesus was the best example of what it looked like to proactively serve others. He broke bread with tax collectors, prostitutes, the sick and unclean, even people who persecuted the church. He was intentional about breaking down walls, barriers and separation between us with each other and us with Him. He constantly served despite discomfort, ridicule or social norm. He was the example of what I believe to be our greatest calling, putting the needs of others above our own.

What does that look like practically?

We all have abundant purpose. It does not matter your social status, successes or failures, sexual orientation, political view, gender or title. You are loved. And I have found that the most tangible way to experience this love is to give it. Freely, without agenda, just as God does for us. God's love transcends borders, boundaries, races and equators. The more I travel the more I understand that the heart of mankind is the same. Humanity is our race. We are all created in His image. People are God's gift to each other. When we are intentional about coming together, not one group helping the other, but each party humbling themselves to learn from and teach each other, hearts are changed. We can activate each others purpose by simply being a human being and showing up to give the other person a sense of dignity and empowerment. You will realize you're loved and maybe not as alone as you thought. This not only affects us but the other people in our lives. It creates a beautiful ripple affect.

Experience Mission places such an emphasis on relationships and that is why I am so excited to partner with them in showing our brothers and sisters across the globe in South Africa that they are abundantly loved and have limitless potential and purpose. That despite circumstance, they are claimed by the kingdom of heaven and chosen by a community who loves them.
