Normil lives with his parents and neither of them are regularly employed. His Dad is a mechanic, but he isn’t able to find much work so the money is always running low. Sadly, they lost their home in the earthquake of 2010 and they’ve been living in a little one room shelter ever since. Normil’s parents are doing their best to help him go to school because Normil is a very intelligent young man who wants to learn but often the money just isn’t enough. Currently he is in 7th grade and he’s missing so many days of school that he won’t be able to finish the year. This scholarship will enable him to complete 7th grade.

Why Education Matters
Education empowers. EM's Education Scholarships help provide necessary education and mentorship for teenagers and young adults who need a "hand up" towards a better life that presents opportunities that would otherwise be out of reach.
