About the Student
Vanessa is currently in her final year of high school. Her brother has paid for her school to date, but he was recently laid off so he can't continue to support her. This scholarship will save her from the prospect of dropping out during her senior year and thus enable her to graduate. She is doing well in school and she is confident of her ability to pass her final exams. She says her favorite subject is biology and her most challenging subject is math. Currently she is living in Carrefour with her brother and sister and their spouses. Both of her parents have passed away, and since her brother lost his job nobody in the household is formally employed. She says her favorite pastime is listening to music, and she would love to eventually become a nurse.
