About the Student

James' father died when he was a young boy, so he and his 6 siblings were raised by their mother alone. They are a Christian family, and James is an active member of his local church. When his father died, his mother did not have enough money to send all of her kids to school, so she sent the two oldest children, leaving James with no way to continue his education. At times, he has been able to attend school because his mother values his education so highly, but this has brought an immense amount of financial strain on the family and is not consistent. Your support will enable James to continue his education uninterrupted through graduation without burdening his mother and his younger siblings.

Why Education Matters

Education empowers. EM's Education Scholarships help provide necessary education and mentorship for teenagers and young adults who need a "hand up" towards a better life that presents opportunities that would otherwise be out of reach.
