About the Student
Kirsty is the youngest in her family and she never had the chance to meet her dad because he passed away when she was very young. Raised by her mother along with 6 brothers and sisters, money was very tight for her family so she dropped out of school for a while due to lack of funds until generous donors stepped up and sponsored her. However her sponsors are no longer able to support her so she faces the prospect of once again dropping out of school. This will be difficult for Kirsty because she is very bright and her education is important to her. This scholarship will not only enable her to continue her education but it will give her a sense of purpose and a future.
