Ashley grew up with his dad, but he moved in with his mom when he was 18 and he’s lived with her ever since. Both of his parents are unemployed, and he’s lived in poverty his entire life. Because of this he wasn’t able to graduate high school on time, but he didn’t give up. Through determination and perseverance he was able to graduate in 2013 at the age of 22. Determined to achieve higher education, he went on to enroll in college and complete his first year, but he dropped out in the middle of his second year for a lack of finances. With your support, he will be able to return to college and complete his sophomore year!

Why Education Matters
Education empowers. EM's Education Scholarships help provide necessary education and mentorship for teenagers and young adults who need a "hand up" towards a better life that presents opportunities that would otherwise be out of reach.
