Appalachia Mission Trips McDowell County, West Virginia West Virginia Service Projects - McDowell County, on the southern tip of West Virginia is one of the poorest communities in the country. During your mission trip you will be serving in and around the small communities of McDowell County. Together with our community partners we will help you coordinate service projects for your team and practical opportunities to show and to share your faith.
