My name is Lydia Ware and I am a fourth year Early Education Major at the University of Cincinnati. Over my time in college, I have learned so much about following Christ and grown into a deeper relationship with him. This summer, I have been given to opportunity to spend a month in Namibia, Africa on a mission trip with Experience Mission. During my time there my team and I will be partnering with a local boarding school. I will have the opportunity to serve teachers in the classroom and build relationships with the students during and after school, as the students live at the school. Through serving and building relationships, I will also have the opportunity to share the love of God and the gospel with the teachers and students.

As an Early Childhood education major with plans of becoming a teacher after graduation, I am overly excited to spend my time in Namibia in a school to work with and build relationships with students and am excited to see how God will grow me as a teacher to better serve Him after graduation. Through stepping out of my comfort zone and into a new country and new culture, I will have the opportunity to grow in my faith and will need to rely on God more. On this trip, I look forward to serving and sharing God's love and the good news of the Gospel to the people I meet in Namibia, but I also look forward to what God will teach me through the people also. I believe God will teach me about His character and how He is present and sovereign over the whole Earth!

I am so excited to grow with the Lord through this whole experience and share God's love with the people I encounter in Namibia while also learning from them. I believe God is going to use this trip to grow me, build His kingdom, and bring glory to His name.
